BELPRE, OH, June 11, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ — Wayne Waldeck has been inducted into Marquis Who’s Who. As in all Marquis Who’s Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

While serving in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1964 until 1970, Mr. Waldeck, a seventh-generation American, worked as an agent with the Internal Revenue Service’s Office of International Operations. During this time, he lost his father in a tragic accident. His mother struggled in the wake of his passing and established WAL-Bon of Ohio Inc., through which she managed a retail and wholesale bakery called McHappy’s and a chain of pizza restaurant called Napoli’s Pizza. As an accountant with the IRS, Mr. Waldeck realized the potential of the business and decided to leave the IRS and began working as the owner and chief executive officer of the family business, which he successfully ran alongside a public accounting practice for many years.

An expert in his field, Mr. Waldeck earned a Bachelor of Science in Commerce from Bliss College and became a licensed public accountant in West Virginia and Ohio. Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field, he aligns himself with the Ohio Society of CPAs and the National Society of Accountants. In conjunction with his work, Mr. Waldeck also contributed to his community as president of the Parkersburg Bicentennial Committee and to several organizations, including Covenant House, ArtsBridge, Parkersburg Tree Commission, Parkersburg Development Task Force, and Wood County Senior Citizens as a member of the board of directors.

Given his professional achievements, Mr. Waldeck won the Suzanna Bayley Award and the Outstanding Citizen of the Year Award. Though hard work and dedication have brought him far in his career, he credits his success to the “angels” in his life who have encouraged and assisted him during times of need. Within the coming years, he intends to franchise McHappy’s, which currently has five donut shops. Personally, Mr. Waldeck aims to complete a biography to inspire young people.
