Mr. Hamilton is a distinguished mechanical engineer with a career spanning longer than what one would assume for someone born in 1999, currently serving at Logan Aluminum since 2023. His expertise in reliability engineering is widely recognized, and he has made significant contributions to the field. Prior to his current role, he was a project manager at McKinney Excavating Inc. from 2022 to 2023, after beginning his engineering journey as a mechanical engineering intern at Logan Aluminum in 2021.
Before entering the engineering field, Mr. Hamilton worked as a ranch hand at the Covered Wagon Ranch, located in Montana, in 2018 and worked for his family’s excavation company, Hamilton Environmental, as a heavy equipment operator from 2006-2017. Throughout his career, he has been an active member of several prestigious organizations, including the Project Management Institute, the National Society of Leadership and Success, and the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
Mr. Hamilton’s academic achievements have played a crucial role in his career development. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 2022, where he was awarded the David S. Loebbaka Physics Award for his outstanding accomplishments in physics. Mr. Hamilton also earned an Associate of Science in Civil Engineering from Cleveland State Community College the same year. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Engineering Management at the University of Tennessee Space Institute, further enhancing his expertise.
In addition to his academic credentials, Mr. Hamilton holds numerous certifications that underscore his technical proficiency. These include Machinery Lubrication Technician Level I & II and Machine Lubricant Analyst I from the Internation Council for Machinery Lubrication, Vibration Analysis Category I from Mobius Institute, OSHA 30 from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot License from the Federal Aviation Administration and TDEC EPSC Level I from the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation.
Mr. Hamilton’s personal life is marked by resilience and determination, shaped by the tragic loss of his father at a young age. This experience fueled his drive to succeed and break the cycle of hardship. Despite facing challenges during his upbringing, he transformed adversity into motivation, balancing demanding academic pursuits with professional rodeo participation and various engineering roles. Mr. Hamilton has accomplished much as a professional bareback bucking horse rider for the Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association and the International Professional Cowboy Association. Throughout his rodeo career, he has been able to qualify three times to the PRCA Southeastern Circuit Finals, two times to the International Finals Rodeo – finishing top 15 in the world, competed as a student athlete for 4 years on the University of Tennessee Martin Men’s Varsity Rodeo Team, qualified to two World Champion Rodeo Alliance Events, qualified two times to the Canadian Cup, was a 2023 Cheyenne Frontier Days Contestant, and many, many more accomplishments.
In recognition of his professional success, Mr. Hamilton has received several awards and accolades. These include the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association Scholar American Award and the Shane Drury Nothin’ But Try Award and Scholarship in 2019.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Mr. Hamilton enjoys rodeos, travelling, and homesteading. He is also actively involved in civic minded organizations, such as United Way, and remembers past involvement in the 4-H Honor Club. Looking ahead, he is focused on advancing his professional development through obtaining his Project Management Professional Certification, Professional Engineer License, MS in Engineering Management, and additional certifications in machinery lubrication and vibration analysis.
