Young Gloucestershire, a leading youth work charity supporting children, young people, and families across the county, has been honoured with the Partnership Award at the NHS Gloucestershire Hospitals Staff Awards. This accolade highlights the powerful collaboration between the charity and the Paediatric Team at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, which has delivered significant improvements in the support available to young people in mental health crises.This award recognises the unique approach taken by Young Gloucestershire and the Paediatric Team to ensure young people in distress receive not only the clinical care they need but also tailored, holistic support. By embedding youth work into hospital settings, the partnership has reduced re-admissions, supported young people to recover more sustainably, and provided a bridge between medical services and community-based care.The hospital youth work team at Young Gloucestershire works closely with children, young people, and their families during some of the most challenging periods in their lives. By addressing practical and emotional needs, signposting to additional support, and offering a consistent presence, the team ensures that no young person feels alone or unsupported.Ione Sime, Senior Manager for Young Gloucestershire said:
