Dallas – Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic has been ruled out of a game against New Orleans after being knocked out in the third quarter with a right heel injury.
Doncic stayed in the game after taking a bad fall on Thursday night when he broke into a one-handed dunk on a drive and Brandon Ingram knocked the ball out of his hand when Doncic was nudged by Jonas Valanciunas.
Ingram was called out for a foul and successfully challenged New Orleans. Doncic returned for the check after the break but went straight to the dressing room after a drive on the pitch. He cried out in frustration without even looking at the Dallas bench.
Doncic had 31 points in 23 minutes when he left the game. He had 20 points in the first quarter in his second straight game for the first time in his career and scored 21 after scoring 24 of his 53 in a 111–105 win over Detroit.
