NEW YORK – Detroit guard Killian Hayes and Orlando’s Moritz Wagner have each been suspended for multiple games for their roles in a scufflewhile the NBA suspended eight Magic players Thursday to one game apiece for walking off the bench during an altercation.

Hayes, who hit Wagner in the back of the head, was suspended for three games without pay. Wagner was suspended for two games and the Pistons’ Hamidou Diallo was suspended for a game by NBA Vice President Joe Dumars – the Pistons’ former star player and manager.

The consequences of Game on Wednesday in Detroit The night was such a big one that Magic players’ bans are being staggered so they have enough players available to play their next game.

Cole Anthony, RJ Hampton, Gary Harris, Kevon Harris, Admiral Schofield, Franz Wagner, Mo Bamba and Wendell Carter Jr. all received a one-game ban.

Wagner hip-checked Hayes into the Detroit bench to start the altercation. Hayes got up and punched him in the back, and Wagner appeared to briefly pass out. Magic players would then fall off their bench area in concern for their teammate.

Anthony, Bamba, Carter Hampton and Gary Harris will serve out their suspensions against Washington on Friday. Kevon Harris, Schofield and Franz Wagner are suspended for Orlando’s next game on Jan. 4 in Oklahoma City

The 11 suspensions result in just over $500,000 in forfeited salary. Hayes will lose the most, around $121,000.
