Prep Player of the Week: Lindsay Sheets

LAKE MARY, Fla. – Lindsay Sheets delivers goals a-plenty for the Lake Mary Rams, and senior forward helped deliver a state championship last week.

The Lake Mary High School girls’ soccer team recently won the Class 7A state title. Sheets scored a goal and assisted on the other in the 2-0 victory.

Sheets has been providing big moments for a long time; she finished with 21 goals this season alone, adding to the 41 total goals in her four years for the varsity squad at Lake Mary.

“[I have] a winning mentality,” Sheets told News 6. “You have to just leave it all out on the field. You have nothing to lose. Your teammates have your back. You got to play for your coaches, play for your school [and] play for yourself.”

The next stop for Sheets is Winthrop University in South Carolina where she hopes to keep scoring goals.

“[I’m looking forward to] having another four years at it,” Sheets said. “Being able to extend my career, and I hope that it’s the best four years of my life, just like this one.”
