WINDERMERE, Fla. – Senior swimmer Addison Reese is all smiles nowadays and for good reason.
Reese recently finished her high school career at Windermere High School, a swimming career she dominated. Reese has multiple state championships to her name.
Her main passion is the butterfly stroke, and Reese will be competing in the upcoming Olympic Trials in the butterfly 100-meter long course in June.
After the trials, Reese is heading to the SEC to swim for the powerhouse Florida Gators after originally committing to a conference rival, the Kentucky Wildcats.
“[The University of] Florida was definitely one of my top options,” Reese said. “And it was a really hard choice. I don’t regret committing to Kentucky. I think it was a good learning lesson and a good experience. But some things just don’t work out and change. I think I made the best decision for myself. Florida is definitely the place I’m meant to be; I love Florida.”
