He waits until February and is our Sonic Prep Player Of The Week.

Horizon High School senior Daniel Porto has just returned from a trip to Texas after receiving an exclusive invite to the US Army Bowl, an all-star national high school football game.

Porto is one of the best kickers in the country and he keeps getting better by investing hours of training in his craft.

He’s relatively new to American football. A native of Brazil, soccer was his game growing up. When he moved to the United States with his family four years ago, he brought his foosball skills to the soccer field.

Daniel is now 18 and preparing to graduate this spring. He is focused on the future. He plans to play college football, but the question is where? He’s received a handful of offers – more are likely to come.
