WINTER GARDEN, Fla. – Madison Krause is a star player at Foundation Academy in Winter Garden.
The senior is an outside hitter on Foundation‘s volleyball team. And Krause recently made history when she broke the school’s single-season record for kills.
“The success is kind of new for us, like with the team we have,” Krause told News 6. “Our team is very young, so over the last couple of years, we‘ve really grown up together. So our team now, we’ve been playing together for probably three or four years.”
Krause doesn‘t dwell on individual accomplishments. She’s the go-to player on a team with state championship aspirations.
“Mental-wise, our connection…we are very strong and we’re very close to each other,” Krause said. “But I think, physically, we have a great offense and we also have a great defense. But overall, our offense is very strong.”
