If you’re after a big-hitting game for PS5 Pro or PS5 this weekend then this discount on God of War Ragnarok is a pretty good place to start.
It’s not a lowest-ever and it’s hovered around this price for a little while, but if you’re looking for a Pro enhanced game to go big with, there aren’t much better.
God of War Ragnarok: was $69.99 now $39.99 at Amazon
Not to be outdone on DualSense deals, the UK retailers are also getting in on the action, and EE is leading the way with some cracking deals on some of the newest colorways.
Cutting to it, at the EE Store, you can currently get the PS5 DualSense Chroma – Pearl controller for £57.99 and the PS5 DualSense Chroma – Indigo pad also for £57.99.
These are excellent prices on new colorways that only launched this month and saves you 12 quid on each.
PS5 DualSense Chroma Pearl: was £69.99 now £57.99 at EE
PS5 DualSense Chroma Indigo: was £69.99 now £57.99 at EE
Folks in the US can currently get hold of the exact DualSense variant right now that I’m after this Black Friday – and do so for the lowest price since last year’s sales!
This is an incredible deal on the Volcanic Red controller, with Walmart slashing its price by a tidy 12 bucks from $79,99 down to $67.99.
If you have the Volcanic Red PS5 Slim plates or other red PS5 accessories, then this is a brilliant deal in order to align your accessories aesthetically. I’m incredibly jealous!
PS5 Volcanic Red Dualsense controller: was $79.99 now $67.99 at Walmart
And the good news is that the PS5 Pro’s price has been slashed again by yet another UK retailer. Popular department store John Lewis is now matching the price cuts we have been seeing across the UK retailer landscape this week and is offering the PS5 Pro for £659!
Once more unto the breach of the Black Friday PS5 Pro deals we go! I’m continuing to search out the best deals on the PS5 Pro as well as the top complementing deals for Sony’s new console, and existing PS5.
And we’ll start out with some more good news on the PS5 Pro’s price in the UK…
Grab a bit more storage…
If you know you’ll need a tiny bit of extra storage for your PS5 Pro – despite its internal 2TB – or are just after a 1TB SSD for your regular PS5 then Corsair’s MP600 Pro for its lowest price since April is an easy SSD deal to recommend right now. You can pick it up for $79.99 at Amazon right now (was $109.99).
Get my favorite gaming headset of 2024 for a record low price
Turning our attention to some of the best accessories you can get for PS5 Pro and PS5 this Black Friday, I need to draw your attention to this deal on my favorite headset of 2024. It’s in my main list of highlight deals at the top of this live blog, but it’s so good I must draw your attention to it here as well.
The Arctis Nova 5 offers pretty aggressive value at its regular price point of $129.99 but now you can have its “affordable luxury” for a record-low price of just $91.99 at Best Buy.
This headset is extraordinarily good in every department from its audio quality to mic, to design and build, and also to its companion app which offers superb flexibility. Seriously if you’ve been eyeing up a quality headset for PS5 or PS5 Pro, this is one of the best value purchases you can make.
The PS5 Pro drops further in the UK!
In incredible news, another UK retailer has slashed the price of the PS5 Pro – and gone a tiny bit further than Argos did yesterday.
EE is now offering the PS5 Pro for £659 – a whole 99p lower than Argos, and a brand-new record-low price for the Pro in the console. Just a week after the console launched too; we’re swimming in unprecedented waters here!
Here’s one for the UK crowd given that it’s still incredibly early in the US.
UK PS5 Pro shoppers can team their new enhanced console with the DualSense Edge for less right now too. You can get it for £195.75 at Amazon right now (was £209.99).
It’s not got a huge discount on it, but it is the lowest Amazon price since a couple of flashes in October that were fractionally lower – as a result, this is basically Amazon’s lowest-ever price on the pad.
Good morning once again, and strap in for another day of Black Friday PS5 Pro deals and updates!
As a starter, it’s worth highlighting that two deals we spotted yesterday are both still live and kicking – so don’t miss out on them!
First, we have the PS5 Pro being slashed by 40 quid in the UK at Argos, which is incredibly welcome just a week on from the PS5 Pro’s launch.
Second, for those in the US, Amazon’s deal on PS gift cards offering Prime members 10% off is still live too, and is very welcome as a form of Black Friday PS Plus deals.
Early Black Friday PS Plus deals have joined the party!
Black Friday PS Plus deals are always a highlight of the sales season – if they actually appear. However, we have great news as Amazon is offering Prime members the chance to save 10% on PlayStation gift cards right now!
What do I know? Turns out I was actually wrong about a PS5 Pro discount…
Looks like I’ll immediately have to backtrack on my prediction of no PS5 Pro price cut this Black Friday as UK retailer Argos has already wielded the axe on the PS5 Pro’s price tag.
UK shoppers can now go to that retailer and bag the PS5 Pro for £659.99 – a saving of 40 quid!
Let’s hope this is the first of many on both sides of the Atlantic…
Will the PS5 Pro be discounted over Black Friday?
Among the many adjacent game deals and accessory deals, and even widening PS5 Pro bundle options we’re starting to see, one question is more important and critical than others: will the PS5 Pro itself get a price cut over Black Friday?
First the bad news: I don’t think so. Putting on my relentlessly realistic hat, it’s just too soon for a proper discount given the Pro only released on November 7. With PS5 Pro pre-orders doing well in Sony’s eyes, there would be no need for Sony to introduce an official price cut.
Now, the not-so-bad news: the above doesn’t stop retailers from doing a bit of price-cutting or value-adding, and we’re already seeing some versions of this such as this UK bundle at Very that sees the seller add disc drive to the PS5 Pro to form a bundle and take a few quid off in the process.
We’re hopeful of the value proposition of the PS5 Pro being increased with deals and bundles like this that throw in accessories, games, and more, over the wider Black Friday period given it’s too early for a proper price cut.
Good morning! We’re back at it today and seeing what PS5 Pro deals or PS5 accessory and game deals are appearing as we race toward the big sales day itself.
And we’re starting off big today: if you were eyeing up a big TV upgrade to go with your new PS5 Pro then you may well be looking at Sony’s excellent lineup of TVs. One in particular that’s always worth highlighting is the brilliant A95L, and it’s 65-inch model just so happens to be at a second lowest-ever price right now in the US and a lowest-ever price in the UK!
In the US, you can get it for $2,898 at Amazon (was $3,499.99) and in the UK you can also head to Amazon and get it for £2,799 (was £3,599).
Horizon Forbidden West on PS5 Pro is quite possibly the best-looking game I have ever played on any console ever. It is stunningly good. As a result, it’s one of the first games I recommend, and I will be pointing out any discounts I see on it between now and, well, ever.
While not a huge discount in the US, you can currently get it for $49.99 at Amazon in the US which is a saving of ten bucks. UK shoppers will have to stick to the regular edition of the game for the best value, currently going for £35.99 at Amazon UK.
UK shoppers can also make use of a cracking deal on a brilliant PS5 Pro monitor right now and save a decent chunk on one of the best premium screens going.
I found that teaming the PS5 Pro with a 120Hz-capable display got the absolute best out of the console and if doing exactly that is what you want then getting the brilliant Alienware AW3225QF 4K QD-OLED monitor for a lowest-ever price is something you should take notice of. Going for £839 at Amazon right now, the saving is a chunky £150 and, to repeat, gets you the screen for its cheapest ever price.
Speaking of particular retailers, now is also a good time to point out that it wouldn’t be a bad idea to bookmark and regularly visit a few key ones from now on just in case you stumble across a great deal. The below retailers in the US and UK are the ones that we’d suggest sticking to as we head toward the big day itself.
US
Amazon: the largest selection of discounts
Best Buy: good discounts on games and gear
GameStop: lots of PS5 bundles and PS5 Pro games
Walmart: good for PS5 Pro accessories and games
UK
Amazon: the broadest selection of discounts on all things PS5 Pro and PS5
Argos: regularly price matches other retailers and offers same day pick up depending on location
Currys: good deals on Pro-enhanced games and a range of accessories
John Lewis: offers some good PS5 accessory discounts
Very: perfect for discounted PS5 Pro games
UK retailer Very is selling a PS5 Pro + disc drive bundle!
This is the bundle we’ve been hoping for since it was confirmed that the PS5 Pro came without a disc drive. You can now get the PS5 Pro + disc drive for £794 at Very. This bundle also saves you about six pounds from the combined listing prices, but it’s a very welcome first bundle of its kind that we’ve seen.
Having said that, the first price I need to tell you about is the best price on the PS5 Pro itself right now.
In the US, the best price we can find is a mere 99 cents off the listing price of $699.99. It’s not really a discount at this point, but getting the PS5 Pro for $699 at Walmart remains your best bet basically, at least right now.
However, folks in the UK have it ever so slightly better with the EE Store continuing its trend of shaving pounds off even the latest gaming gear. Right now, folks can pick up the PS5 Pro for £695 at the EE Store which is a whole £4.99 off the MSRP of the console. A small win, but a win nonetheless. However, we have spotted something else for UK shoppers that might be of interest if you’re prepared to wait a couple of weeks…
What kind of Black Friday PS5 Pro deals will we see?
Particularly given the PS5 Pro is so fresh and brand new, you may be wondering what kind of deals I’m going to be concentrating on here – which is a fair question!
While I don’t necessarily expect to see any discounts on the console itself, I am just a tiny bit hopeful of seeing some better value offerings on it. I’d really love to see some retailers bundle up the disc drive and vertical stand with the Pro and shave some money off the price tag, for example. These kinds of bundles will still be expensive, of course, but might be enough to convince folks to jump in and get everything they need in one hit.
Adjacent to the console itself, on things like PS5 Pro games, and PS5 Pro accessories, is definitely where we are going to see discounts and deals galore. PlayStation first-party games, and major games of the past couple of years which are Pro enhanced will drop in price , so look out for discounts on the likes of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, the Horizon games, and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart (and more).
Then we’re definitely going to see discounts on accessories and complementing hardware to the PS5 Pro too. Headsets, controllers, SSDs, racing wheels, TVs, monitors, and everything else will have prices slashed so look out for those – and we’ll be highlighting a bunch here – throughout the sales period.
Hello and welcome to our coverage of this year’s Black Friday PS5 Pro deals and sales. if you’ve been looking for a place to browse for deals on the new Pro console itself (hopefully) or any of the best enhanced games, or accessories to team with your PS5 Pro then you’re in the right place.
While we’re hopeful, but not expectant, of some better value offerings on the Pro itself – perhaps via bundles that include extras like the disc drive – we’re definitely going to see price cuts on some top games, as well as a plethora of accessories from TVs to headsets, and from controllers to storage.
I recently reviewed the PS5 Pro so know a thing or two about it and what it can offer you – and what it needs to be better value – and I’ve also been a PlayStation and gaming hardware editor and writer for years, covering the PS5 launch and stock shortage, and the PlayStation Portal stock debacle too, to name a couple of examples. Importantly, though, I’m also another PlayStation-head who loves to save money on games and accessories so I know what makes a good PS5 Pro deal and PS5 discount. So sit back, and let’s begin.
