Blizzard has confirmed that the DDoS attacks that have plagued its games, including Diablo 4, for most of the weekend are now over.
Blizzard confirmed this today was “We are investigating an issue affecting our authentication servers that may result in failed or slow login attempts,” while players shared screenshots of notifications that appeared on Battle.net on social media, specifically confirming that it was a “DDoS attack” This led “to high latencies and disconnections for some players”.
After promising that the team was “actively working to fix this issue,” the account later posted an update: “We continue to actively monitor an ongoing DDOS attack impacting latency/connections to our games. At this point, no expected date or time for a resolution was given.
But tonight the problem seems to have been solved.
“The DDOS attacks we observed have ended,” the team revealed, before directing players who are still reporting issues to a troubleshooting page.

Blizzard’s Rod Fergusson revealed this recently You must create a brand new character in order to participate in Diablo 4’s upcoming Battle Pass.
The Battle Pass, which is due out alongside other seasonal content in mid to late July, means your existing character (complete with class upgrades and gear) won’t be able to experience the new content as you’ll have to start over.
Fergusson – the general manager of Diablo – wrote on Twitter: “In order to participate in the seasonal quest line, mechanics, season journey and battle pass, you must create a new seasonal character.”
