Looks like Bing’s chat GPT is putting Google in panic mode

It seems that news from Google bard‘s AI shortcomings are already impacting the company, and the CEO is taking action, according to a new report.

According to a leaked business memo first revealed by Business Insider and reported by gizmodo, Google CEO Sundar Pichai sent a company-wide email to the tech giant’s employees, stating that he “would appreciate” if all employees “made a deeper contribution.” He now requires that they set aside two to four hours of their day to test Bard’s AI to find bugs and issues that need fixing.

A Google spokesperson told Gizmodo that “testing and feedback from Googlers and external trusted testers are important aspects of improving Bard to ensure it’s ready for our users.” However, they never specified how long or how often these necessary tests for employees will take time.

The Impact of Google’s Fear

Google released Bard last week after that Microsoft revealed its own ChatGPT AI integration with its new and improved Bing. Google employees had complained about the hasty start and, according to a CNET report, used the company’s internal meme forum, MemeGen, to poke fun at the AI.
