Other To update (opens in new tab) from Microsoft, which says it has now identified the cause of the problem.
“We’ve narrowed the issue down to a network configuration issue and are analyzing the best mitigation strategy to address it without causing additional impact. We will provide more information as soon as we have additional information.”
It adds that some users are still unable to access services like Teams and Outlook, but a fix is being worked on.
For anyone still affected by this issue, there could be good news coming soon.
Although there was no official confirmation that Microsoft 365 service status page (opens in new tab) shows no more problems, with the cheerful note “everything is running”.
Outage reports are also falling on DownDetector after a massive spike earlier today – but until we get an official tweet from Microsoft, it might not be worth getting carried away just yet….

- Microsoft Teams
- swap online
- outlook
- SharePoint Online
- OneDrive for business
- Microsoft Graph
“We have identified a potential network issue and are reviewing telemetry to determine next troubleshooting steps,” it adds, noting that users served by the affected infrastructure may not be able to access multiple Microsoft 365 services .

The good news is that Microsoft seems to have noticed the problem, so a fix might not be too far away.
