We know that One Plus 11 gets a big reveal in China on January 4th, with a global launch event scheduled for February 7th. In the meantime, however, we’ve heard almost everything about the phone from official and unofficial sources.
Starting with the official news that OnePlus Weibo Feed (opens in new tab) (over Notebook check (opens in new tab)) continues to push out nuggets of information: it teases a “Bionic Motor” system for advanced haptics and a “Picture Quality Engine” to boost frame rates on the phone’s display.
We also have confirmation of 100W super-fast charging from OnePlus itself and mention of a 5,000mAh battery. OnePlus also showed off a dual-port charger with USB Type-A and Type-C connectors – possibly indicating that there will be no charger included in the box.

As for the unofficial rumors and leaks, it’s difficult to keep track of everything at this stage. A regulatory filing in China (via Android Police (opens in new tab)) has listed the phone as sporting a 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED screen with a resolution of 3126 x 1440 pixels and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor to power everything.
There will be 12GB or 16GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of internal storage. As for the rear camera, we’re expecting a 50MP + 48MP + 32MP triple-lens setup with 2x optical zoom. The front camera is listed as a single-lens 16-megapixel module.
Meanwhile past 91mobile (opens in new tab) We’ve got our hands on some real-life footage of the OnePlus 11 while tipster Abhishek Yadav also shared (opens in new tab) Multiple renders of the handset on Twitter – these go alongside the actual promotional images released by OnePlus itself.
Analysis: A strong start to 2023
The OnePlus 11 will be the first flagship phone to be launched this year and the signs are looking promising: it packs pretty much everything you could want in a high-end phone for 2023, from the cameras to the internals Processor.
We’ve got Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor under the hood, which is expected to power many premium Android phones throughout the year – for some it’ll be the fastest chipset option for Android makers at the time.
There’s generous helpings of RAM and internal storage here, and – at least from the spec list – the rear camera module sounds promising (and Hasselblad is involved once again). The screen also sounds appropriately high-end.
Of course, we can’t really judge a smartphone until we have it actually tested, but from what we know so far, the OnePlus 11 seems to combine the right ingredients. It has a great chance of becoming one of the best phones we’ll see in 2023.
